According to Wikipedia (English), “Galette is a term used in French cuisine to designate various types of flat round or freeform crusty cakes, or, in the case of a Breton galette, a pancake made with buckwheat flour usually with a savoury filling.” This made-in-France example is made with buckwheat flour.
It’s found in a frozen food chain from France called Picard that had 11 branches in Japan as of January 2025, and can also be purchased through Picard's online store.
